A good friend, also living in DC, recently started a lifestyle blog called First Impressions. Kristyn focuses on everything from fashion and entertaining to the DC social scene. Last weekend she hosted a brunch and invited a few friends to showoff their spring fashion. It turned out to be a fun but chilly spring afternoon. Of course, I had to snap a few pictures of Kristyn’s place in Southeast DC. The Oynx is a popular building in Southeast. It has a very modern and industrial feel. It also has an awesome rooftop pool. I loved how Kristyn made the space her own. Hailing from Tennessee, she was able to incorporate southern charm into a challenging space. The most interesting feature of the apartment is the open kitchen. All of the appliances are located on one wall, similar to some studios.
