District Deals at Hilltop House

We all know that finding a deal in the District is not an easy task. Hilltop House has some awesome options for anyone looking to stay on budget but still be close to some of DC’s best neighborhoods. What I like most about Hilltop House is the location. An easy walk from my apartment, the small streets leading to Hilltop House are filled with charming row houses. Caddy-corner to Hilltop House is Meridian Hill Park. Meridian Hill is a true oasis within the city. This ideal location is just a few block south of Columbia Heights, a few blocks north of U Street, and a few blocks east of Adams Morgan.

Now that I have sold you on the location, let’s talk prices. Hilltop House has studios for $1300 and one bedrooms for $1600- all utilities included. For this location, these prices are hard to beat. The studios are around 400 square feet and the one bedrooms are around 600 square feet. Though the studios are on the smaller side, they have been renovated to create more space. Many units have expanded kitchens. Large windows help brighten up some of the units. I really loved the windows in the one bedroom unit. Three windows on one wall and two windows on another came together to create an awesome corner window. Many of the units have great views of the park.

There are a few unique features. The one bedroom unit I saw had carpet in the bedroom. If you prefer carpet in the bedroom, but don’t want to give up hardwoods in your living space, these units are a good compromise. As for amenities, there is a small indoor parking garage. Spaces are only $125 a month! There is also indoor storage for bikes and mopeds. Heat and air conditioning are individually controlled. Here are a few shots of the interior.

Overall, Hilltop House is a great option for staying on budget without sacrificing on location. Check it out today!
