Estate Sale Fun

While running errands on Sunday, I spotted an estate sale sign off of Connecticut Avenue. I abandoned my to-do list with the hopes of discovering some one of a kind pieces. For those of you who have never been to an estate sale before, it is both exciting and depressing. While exploring the three story home in Dupont, it was hard to ignore the fact that I, along with many others, were pawing through someone else’s belongings. However, it was the last day of the sale and everyone was embracing the “everything must go” mentality.

I was thrilled to see so many beautiful pieces still available. There was furniture, china, art, rugs, etc. Everything was discounted for the final day. The last thing I need in a studio is another piece of furniture but I did leave with a very cool tray. Marked originally for $15, it had been discounted to a mere $7.50. DC Estates was running the sale. Check out their site to see upcoming sales. Below are a few pieces that caught my eye, along with my new tray!
