Connecticut Park Apartments: $1725

The apartments at Connecticut Park Apartments have three things going for them: great views, a nice kitchen, and tons of space. Micro-units may be all the rage but if you would prefer more bang for your buck consider these apartments. The two bedrooms units are over 1000 square feet and the one bedroom units are over 700 square feet. No need to worry about tiny bedrooms and cramped living areas. This is a great deal considering all utilities are included.

One other thing that impressed me was the tight security. I hate to admit it but I have waltzed into some apartment buildings and the front desk attendant barely looked up. Not only did I have to be buzzed in but I showed my ID and the attendant recorded my information. This building gets a five star rating for security. The units I checked out varied in price for two reasons: views and upgrades.

Two Bedroom, One Bath on the Second Floor: $2550

This unit is renting for $2550 a month, with one month free. The upside is the awesome kitchen. The challenge is the view. Cooks will die when they see this kitchen. The kitchen is brand new and features slate appliances. You may not have heard of this style before but they are actually a step up from stainless steel. I have to say that I love the look. The finish is more matte and I am sure it is much easier to keep clean. The bedrooms are spacious and the living room is large. The challenge is the view. I have a knack for always being able to see an apartment’s potential. You may be on the second floor but you get a view of a rare commodity in DC: grass. Honestly, it was kind of nice to look out the window and see lush grass rather than concrete.

Two Bedroom, One Bathroom on The Ninth Floor: $2750

This unit has the same floor plan but there is a twist. The view is awesome. On the top floor of the building, you can see all across DC. The large windows really bring the views into the living area. Again, this is a spacious, open floor plan with a lot of potential. The kitchen is also upgraded. This unit has an upgraded bathroom- all white with new fixtures.

Amenities include a roof deck and a pretty awesome deal with the Marriott down the street. Residents get gym membership for only $30. There are two parking options: garage parking and outdoor parking. An outdoor spot is $150 and a garage spot is $200. If you don’t have a car, Woodley Park metro is an easy five minute walk.

Last but not least, there is also a one bedroom unit available for $1725.

Come and see the views and great kitchen for yourself. Email me to set up a tour.
