Monday, Monday, Monday!

EBDC3

Welcome to the new week, all! Check out some deals (including a couple of really good deals) that I spotted below:

Quick stats:
$2550 / 700 square feet = $3.64 per square foot. Decent price for neighborhood!
0.9 miles / 19 minutes walk to nearest metro (Dupont Circle)
The drill: Really charming apartment here – decent price point for the neighborhood. Especially surprising that it is a top floor apartment and not an English basement! This one caught my eye because of the abundance of natural light, beautiful hardwood floors, and exterior. The building in which you will reside is gorgeous and you get a private balcony to boot. This Georgetown property definitely won’t last.
Why you might think twice: Ah, the sacrifices one must make to live in Georgetown. This one is definitely on the cheaper end of Georgetown apartments, though, and isn’t as far away from the metro as it could be.
Quick stats:
$2575 / 680 square feet = $3.79 per square foot. Okay – but not amazing – for this area.
0.5 miles / 11 minutes walk to nearest metro (U Street)
The drill: What’s great about this absolutely stunning property is that utilities are included. Great location with REALLY great interiors. Looking at this property, the bathroom immediately grabbed my attention with the glass shower and exposed brick wall. There are some top of the line upgrades which include granite counters, IKEA cabinets, Pergo floors, 2 fireplaces… the list goes on. The more I dig in to this listing, the more I want to live here.
Why you might think twice: For 680 square feet, $2575 (or is it $2600? Conflicting prices listed) is a little bit high – but in my mind, worth it for the extra features.
Quick stats:
$2800 / 1075 square feet = $2.60 per square foot. Good!
0.4 miles / 8 minutes walk to nearest metro (U Street)
The drill: Really interesting property here – modern and open, especially for an English basement. The stainless steel appliances are especially enticing, as are the wood floors and beautiful bathroom sink area. From the photos, it also looks like there is some sort of outdoor area that you could also use for cookouts and other socials.
Why you might think twice: Not an incredible amount of copy in the posting – more info would be nice!
Quick stats:
$2595 / 1200 square feet = $2.16 per square foot. Excellent value!
05 miles / 10 minutes walk to nearest metro (Mount Vernon Square/7th Street/Convention Center)
The drill: I once lived in this area and absolutely love it. You are just a couple minutes away from the green/yellow line which can take you to so many different places. This property is SUCH a steal – $2595 a month for 1200 feet? Incredible. Beautiful exposed brick walls, tall windows that allow for a significant amount of natural light, all hardwood floors.
Why you might think twice: Street parking, otherwise you can pay a bit extra for a spot in the back. The kitchen is not glamorous, by any means, but has everything that you need.
Quick stats:
$1875 / 550 square feet = $3.41 per square foot. Decent price for neighborhood!
0.5 miles / 11 minutes walk to nearest metro (U Street)
The drill: Really cute apartment in a highly desirable area – this property has a lot of great features packed in to a smaller space – a fireplace, solar panel shades, W/D in unit, and a large deck for you to use. I especially love the hardwood floors throughout – really bright and open feel for a unit of this size.
Why you might think twice: Again, 550 square feet is definitely a bit on the smaller side! Get ready to feel cozy.
