TUESDAY

Happy Tuesday! After such a gloomy DC day yesterday, I hope these finds will brighten your week. I made it my mission to find places where you can enjoy some outdoor space in the final weeks of summer and into the fall!

What makes it great: I was searching for backyard/patio space and actually fell in love with the inside of this two bedroom (the common areas come furnished). Though it is a basement unit, it has a lot of windows and appears to be well lit. This is such a great location: super close to the fun of Adams Morgan, but not so close that you’ll hear the partying when you stay in (and enjoy the BBQ) at night. The unit is renovated and has central air.

Why you should think twice: Common areas come furnished so if you have furniture you love, you’ll need to figure out how to make it all fit. No parking included (it can be a pain in this area). No pets allowed.

This is the perfect little apartment for someone who is new to DC or is getting sick of living with roommates. You have the perks of living with people (shared utilities/laundry), while having your own space. The English basement apartment appears to have enough room for both a ‘bedroom’ and a sitting area.
A studio is a studio, but when it comes with a private balcony that stretches the entire wall length, its worth taking a closer look. This studio was recently renovated – and you can tell (hardwood floors, granite countertops, etc.). Easy access to Logan Circle/ 14th Street.
This is a perfect reminder at the great apartments you can find if you’re not set on being in the heart of the District. The patio is private and enclosed, but also appears to let a great amount of light into this large one bedroom. I work up in this area and it’s not only safe and quiet, but is also still a quick Red Line ride into downtown DC (and only a few minute drive to the Beltway if you need that access!).

The building amenities in this place make the high price tag for a studio worth it. It has a outdoor courtyard, complete with grills and an outdoor lounge. If you need to move the party inside, this studio’s size rivals most one bedrooms.
This house is a great option for sharing with friends. While the backyard needs a bit of sprucing up, that’s the only part of the home that needs it. The three-story home is totally renovated – but still comes at an affordable price.
