$2950 – 2 bd/ 1 ba – Bright & cheery 2 bedroom with rooftop access (Dupont Circle)
What makes it great: Just looking at this condo makes me cheery (and on such a gross day outside!). Maybe it’s the string lights or the light wood floors, but this place seems to have a good vibe in a great location. Blocks from all the fun of Dupont, Logan Circle, and the U Street Corridor, this is a great find that can be all yours starting in October. Both bedrooms boast ‘great’ closet space. Plus: access to a rooftop you’ll be wanting to spend all of fall on.
Why you should think twice: The second bedroom looks large, but all that’s in it in the photos is a hammock- definitely worth visiting to see for yourself. If parking is a concern for you, you’d need more info on the fact that this “includes street parking.”
$2850 – 2 bd/ 2 ba – Large sunlit apartment with 2 bathrooms (Cathedral Heights)
What makes it great: Speaking from experience, this is a great, quiet neighborhood that has easy access to everything you need (grocery store, gyms, bus lines, etc.). The building is beautiful and you get 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a washer dryer in unit for what some studios cost closer to downtown.
Why you should think twice: Only four photos – the listing promises a lot, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up before I saw more pictures.
What makes it great: location, location, location! This is a prime block: steps from shops, restaurants, and the university. It looks relatively spacious compared to most apartments in this area — especially for the price. There’s a washer dryer in unit. It appears landlord has a deal with a nearby parking lot for an additional fee.
Why you should think twice: The price for a parking spot in Georgetown could make this “deal” not worth it. While ideal location in Georgetown, still about a mile from Metro access.
