Thursday

It’s the last day of the month, so good luck to all of you who might be moving this weekend. For those of you who may have just sent your thirty day’s move-out notice to your respective landlords, there are several options worth taking a look at. Check them out below:

basement$1400 / 1br – 690ft2 – Beautiful, modern, newly renovated 1 BR apartment (Colombia Heights/Petworth)
What makes it great:
Looking for something to do this weekend? Go check out this basement unit during its open house Sunday. The house is darling, and the available unit is listed at a fantastic price point, especially considering it was fully renovated this fall.

Why it won’t work: If you prefer to have your kitchen separate from your living area, this may not be the best option for you. As you can see in the image above, there is no distinction between the two spaces.

easternmarket$1425 / 1br -Great apartment near Eastern Market and public transit (Metro/Bus)
Why you should make the move:
This unit’s price point is amazing — and it includes utilities! The photos make it appear extremely spacious. In all, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck.

What concerns me: This is a lease takeover until June, I’d ask if and how much the price could go up then.

Logan$1950 / 1br – 680ft2 – Spacious One Bedroom Apartment in the Heart of Logan Circle! (Logan Circle)
What makes it great: Location, location. The price on this basement unit is somewhat high for the square footage, but given it’s in Logan Circle, I’m more surprised it isn’t listed higher. Built-in shelving adds instant charm to any space, but my favorite detail has to be the blue accent wall.

Why you should keep looking: I am not the biggest fan of tile flooring, especially in basement units — it just feels more like a basement with tile. I’d invest in some nice area rugs before moving in.

CapHill$1850 / 1br – Nicely finished, fully furnished one bedroom English basement (Capitol Hill)
Why you should sign: More Capitol Hill options are becoming available of late. This one is definitely worth your attention. As the title states, the renovations were nicely done.

Why you should think twice: The unit comes furnished, not sure if this is optional. I personally like designing my own space, but if you’re a recent transplant without furniture, here’s your next home.

Hoping to see more options on CL next week. If you are moving and want your place featured, reach out!

Until then,
Cara
