MacArthur Apartments: $1325

Last night I took a trip out to MacArthur Apartments. Located west of Georgetown, it was an easy bus ride from Dupont Circle. Walking up MacArthur Boulevard, the air felt fresher and the streets got quieter. Surrounded by other small apartment buildings and single family homes, this area is more residential. However, the city is still accessible. While walking I caught a glimpse of the Arlington skyline. This is a great area if you have a car. There was plenty of parking available on the street.

MacArthur Apartments is four stories and has 40 one bedroom and studio apartments. There is an onsite manager named Brian who has lived at the property for the last six years. “Little Brian,” his son is a resident manager in training. He is available at all hours to assist residents. Besides the family feel, the real selling point for MacArthur Apartment is the amount of space you get. Studios are a spacious 625 square feet and one bedrooms are 750 square feet. Units start at $1325 a month, all utilities included.

The units feature hardwood floors (some have carpet), updated bathrooms with vintage tile, and tons of closet space. No dogs allowed but cats are welcome. Fitzgerald Properties standard practice is for you to sign a year lease but then go month to month afterwards. This gives renters a lot of flexibility.
