What makes it great: It is rare that I feature an english basement. They are a popular alternative for anyone trying to save some cash but it’s hard to find one that doesn’t feel like a basement. Based on the pictures I wouldn’t have guessed this was a basement. The window in the living area is bigger than some windows in apartment buildings. It appears that the living room, kitchen, and dining room are all open to each other. This will make the apartment feel bigger and it’s fun for entertaining. Of course this place gets added points for the exposed brick in the kitchen/dining area and the bedroom. Another bonus, this is a true one bedroom.
Why you should think twice: The bedroom door has glass panels so it not super private. This is probably a tactic to capture some of the natural light in the living room. The obvious other downside is the fact that it is an english basement. No central air.
