This week Urbane, a company that makes less than ordinary street maps for popular cites, came out with it’s DC version. All I have to say is that the truth may hurt because this is scary accurate, and obviously hilarious. DC residents will get a good laugh and for those thinking about moving here, here is the inside scoop.
There is one thing I want to point out about this map. Notice the “we don’t pay crazy rent” label? This is a big reason why I created Exposed Brick DC. Yes, these people do not pay crazy rent prices but they are in developing neighborhoods. Sure you can get a great “renovated bungalow” for the same price as a one bedroom in the Northwest, but be prepared to be a neighborhood pioneer or in this case a brave hipster.
