I hopped on one of the many buses that run to Woodley Park and had a short ride from Adams Morgan. What struck me was how quickly the vibe changed when I arrived at 2800 Woodley. I found myself in a Glover Park like neighborhood, only two blocks from the metro. 2800 Woodley is surrounded by upscale homes and mature trees, but still extremely accessible.
2800 Woodley has several units available, all with varying floor plans. They have studios and one bedrooms, but I focused on the studios. The building manager, Tanya was nice enough to show me a few awesome units. She also made the early morning tour fun. It was obvious that she loves her job and has a personal relationship with each tenant.
First stop was a very interesting studio. It was one of their largest and it showed. The “dressing area” felt more like a den. There was parquet flooring throughout the apartment and the kitchen had been completely updated. However, they still kept some of the art deco features, which I can appreciate. Check out the awesome sink. The second studio I saw was smaller but felt bigger because the living area was larger and the dressing area was smaller. Again, it is great that they have varying floor plans available. There is truly something to fit everyone’s needs. One great feature that may not occur to most renters is the AC system. I am an air conditioning junkie and use it year round. For many older buildings, that is not possible. At 2800 Woodley AC is individually controlled and available all year round. That last selling point is the awesome roof deck. Beautifully furnished and free wi-fi, you can get some work done while enjoying views of the Washington Monument.
