If I could use on word to describe Chatham Courts it would be “grand.” It has the old-world charm that I just can’t get enough of. The lobby is pristine and full of beautiful details. You feel like you are walking into a hotel, rather than an apartment building. Units start at $1440!
I checked out two units, a studio and a two bedroom. Walking through the halls, I couldn’t help but notice the tall ceilings, beautiful tile work, and old school doors. It is like going back in time- in a good way. Each apartment has a set of two doors. The first door is ventaled so during the summer (back when AC didn’t exist) tenants could get some cross ventilation without compromising their privacy. The second door is solid. These are the kinds of details that you just can’t find anymore. I love that WC Smith kept these historic features.
The studios feel bigger because of the tall ceilings. The kitchens have been updated and are usually in a separate area. Some have small foyers so you don’t feel like you are walking right into your bedroom from the front door. I want to share my photos of one of the MASSIVE two bedroom units.
