What makes it great: Overpricing your rental can put you in a tough spot. The last thing you want is for your place to be sitting vacant. I have a theory that this landlord tried to rent this place out for more but wasn’t successful. The giveaway is the note about the security deposit being $2950. DC law requires that you can’t charge more than one month’s rent for the security deposit. This was definitely copied and pasted from an old ad. At $2700, I think this is a great deal. The square footage seems a little small but it seems workable.
Why you should think twice: If you can’t move quickly, I wouldn’t waste these people’s time. By dropping the price, it is clear they want it rented ASAP.
