TUESDAY

It’s a new month – and maybe for you that means it is time for a new lease too! Here are a few great finds you may want to consider:

This hardly looks like most of the English basements out there – and that’s likely because of the high ceilings and large windows. The breakfast nook is an even more special bonus.
What makes it great: This is right at the heart of Logan Circle so an ideal location adds even more value to this beautiful apartment. The three windows in the front are so large and provide light, you won’t feel like you’re on the lowest level. You’ll also get the charm of an older building with the benefits of a fully renovated apartment: not just the kitchen and bathroom, but even the high-tech thermostat too! The bedroom appears to have two decent sized closets too.
Why you should think twice: As bright as the living room is, the bedroom appears to be a different story. If you need natural light to get yourself out of bed, you may want to look elsewhere. Also, no pets allowed.

I live a block from here and my jaw dropped when I saw what *could’ve been.* This place is more than twice the size of my studio, but only $200 more.
What makes it great: Speaking from experience (and jealousy), this price for this area is pretty incredible – and all utilities are just $75 more per month. Two walk-in closets, a linen closet, and a coat closet – your storage is covered even if you’re a shopaholic! This would also put you within walking distance of both Cathedral Commons and Glover Park. And of course: the rooftop views. Imagine the Instagram posts you can make your friends jealous with during sunsets up there.
Why you should think twice: If you’re a dedicated Metro rider, Glover can be a frustrating place to live. Bus service is decent but it is a hike to the nearest station. The listing was reposted this morning but was originally posted a few days ago so it’s curious it hasn’t been scooped up! Contact the current tenant here.
I’m a sucker for exposed brick and subway tile so this listing caught my eye. This appears to be a nice renovation and well-lit for a basement unit. All utilities included (including security system), close to lots of fun bars along H Street, and has both a dishwasher AND washer/dryer in unit. It’s too hot to think about it now but you’ll be appreciative of the electric fireplace and heated floors when winter comes.
The building isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing from the outside but both the living room and bedroom appear spacious and well maintained. Short walk to Van Ness Metro and TWO swimming pools? Enjoy those while it’s still hot out!
This is a charming option in a great, central location near a Red Line stop. I’m loving the large windows in both the kitchen and living room- and am curious about the enclosed porch. It’ll be perfect for sitting out on when fall rolls around (and it’s going to sneak up fast!).
This English basement looks like it has the potential to become a cozy, but spacious home with the right tenants. It has charming qualities like a clawfoot tub and white painted brick, but appears to be a bit dark. The renter included a floor plan which helps show how its laid out.
