Good afternoon, readers! Those of you who know me well know I am ALL about good deals. Looking at today’s post, I am happy to point out that each property that had square footage listed is under $3 per square foot! A few gems in here – happy hunting.
$2000 / 1br – 700ft2 – Large One Bedroom Apartment in Heart of Dupont Circle! (Dupont)
Quick stats: $2000 / 700 square feet = $2.86 per square foot.
0.5 miles / 11 minutes walk to nearest metro (Dupont Circle North)
The drill: I actually really love this space. At $2,000 in Dupont Circle, this property is certainly a great deal – but also boasts from really quality interior features. I especially like the granite counter tops in the kitchen, ample amount of storage, and all utilities included! You won’t find another deal like this one nearby.
Why you might think twice: I hope your favorite color is white! 🙂 Tile throughout, which I am not the biggest fan of.

0.3 miles / 6 minutes walk to nearest metro (Shaw)
The drill: Price point is reasonable for the area. What first caught my eye about this property is its great location – you are very close to the metro and also near a bunch of Shaw restaurants and bars. Inside, the space features stainless steel appliances, nice wood floors, central A/C and heat, cable and high speed internet included – nice! Flexibility with the lease with different term options available.
Why you might think twice: Square footage isn’t listed, so hard to exactly tell what sort of deal you are getting.

0.4 miles / 9 minutes walk to nearest metro (Shaw)
The drill: STUNNING space here. The building itself is really modern looking, and the inside is sleek and clean. What caught my eye about this property is the price – a 2 BR in Shaw for under $3k is a rare find. I especially like the hardwood floors, bay windows, tall ceilings, and open kitchen. Like the above listing, you are near some of Shaw’s most happening places.
Why you might think twice: Square footage isn’t listed, so hard to exactly tell what sort of deal you are getting. Parking not included, but available for an additional $150/month.
Quick stats: $2100 / 720 square feet = $2.92 per square foot.
0.8 miles / 17 minutes walk to nearest metro (Union Station)
The drill: Really great deal for a beautiful space. I especially love the exposed brick in the first photo (living area?) dual bathroom sinks, and quartz counter tops. Nice that this is a shared building, but W/D is still in unit.
Why you might think twice: A little bit farther from metro than other properties, but not too far! I wish there were a bit more photos provided – hard to get a true sense of the space.
Quick stats: $1599 / 750 square feet = $2.13 per square foot.
0.3 miles / 10 minutes walk to nearest metro (Columbia Heights)
The drill: I don’t know all that much about this neighborhood, but looks like a really great steal. #2.13 per square foot?! Incredible. Some of the top features of this property include – fenced in front yard and back yard w/ grill, wine fridge, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
Why you might think twice: I can’t think of much – you are getting so much for such a low price. Looks like you will be living in the basement, someone else is living upstairs?

0.4 miles / 9 minutes walk to nearest metro (U Street)
The drill: Nice property, from what I can tell! Not many English basements have two bedrooms, but this one appears to have plenty of space. I especially like the brown hardwood floors and bathroom features – really sleek for a basement! Exact address isn’t listed, but it looks like it is right on U Street, which is bound to be a good time.
Why you might think twice: Not an incredible amount of information included in this posting. More text and photos would be helpful.
Quick stats: [square footage note listed]
1.0 miles / 20 minutes walk to nearest metro (Union Station)
The drill: Really stunning English basement here. From the photos, you cannot even really tell that it is a basement! Some really great features in this one – the first that sticks out is the double sink in the main bathroom. I also like the large granite breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and abundance of storage space. Each room within has remote controlled convector AC unites – fancy! Water/internet/trash service included, which is nice.
Why you might think twice: A haul to get to the nearest metro, and it also looks like the apartment might be furnished already – extra fee to get it unfurnished? Wish there was hardwood flooring.
