From when I started looking at Craigslist this morning to when I had gone through all of my opened tabs, 6 apartments were no longer listed. Oh, ok. Cool.
$1640 / 1br – Spacious 1BR near Eastern Market (Capitol Hill)
What’s great: I always get excited when I see an affordable one bedroom in this neighborhood that isn’t an English Basement. I think this place has a lot of potential if you have an eye for interior design.
Why you should think twice: The kitchen is not very user friendly and could do with some remodeling but it’s nice there’s room for a table.
$1750 / 1br – 550ft2 – Renovated One Bedroom Eng. Basmnt w/Patio in Shaw (7th and Q Streets, NW)
What’s great: Being updated and bright makes this a great place to consider. Pretty affordable for a one bedroom in Shaw too.
Why you should think twice: You may have to get creative with your seating area and bedroom as they both look to be on the smaller side.
$1800 / 1br – 520ft2 – Great 1-bd apartment H St NE / Capitol Hill (10th and E NE)
What’s great: Ok there are only two pictures but I think this is worth emailing the poster about for that kitchen alone.
Why you should think twice: Curious as to what floor this is on.
$1850 / 1br – 526ft2 – Upper Floor Spacious One Bedroom in Dupont Circle (Dupont Circle – Washington, DC)
What’s great: I rolled my eyes when I read spacious and 526 square feet but this is truly a great apartment that looks as if it actually is spacious… Upper floor, great hardwood floors, tons of windows.
Why you should think twice: Closet space. No kitchen pics?? That wall color may not be your thing, check and see if the previous tenant is required to paint it back or if the green conveys… or if you can paint. Or just embrace it.
$1850 / 720ft2 – Beautiful Vintage Studio w/ Panoramic City Views! Cats & Dogs Welcome! (Dupont Circle)
What’s great: I don’t think your location gets better or more convenient than here. Those windows and views are pretty cool. Also, I don’t think I have ever seen a studio this big? Maybe I’m wrong, but I think worth sacrificing renovations for location and size.
Why you should think twice: Your living space may need to be arranged multiple times before you settle on what works best for you. Again, very dated apartment, especially the kitchen (has a dishwasher though?)
