This friendly building, the Presidential, was built in 1922 and is featured in James M. Goode’s Best Addresses, a book about distinguished DC apartment buildings. There is central air conditioning for the building, very effective radiator heat, and a free and well-maintained laundry in the building. There is an onsite doorman during the day to take packages. Dry cleaning and grocery delivery are available. The building is very secure.
Unfurnished at $1990 monthly, with most bills included (electric, AC, heat, gas cooking). It’s a good way to budget costs and a great way to avoid the hassle of setting up utilities. $1000 deposit and first month’s rent. Sliding scale possible for government employees on per diem. Willing to discuss paying deposit over a few months if needed.
$50 background check fee that can be applied to rent. Available in Late April/early May after current tenant leaves and apartment is cleaned.
