I have been eyeing apartments for several years now and The Fleetwood remains one of my favorite hidden gems in Cathedral Heights. The Fleetwood has more of a boutique feel with old English architecture. Inside you will find classic charm combined with recent renovations. Nestled on a quiet street in Cathedral Heights, the building offers updated apartments at reasonable prices. How reasonable? Units start at just $1395. Currently, there are three units coming on the market in the next few weeks. Each has something special and with many people wanting to limit the amount of buildings they see due to concerns around Covid-19, this is a great way to see three apartments that could potentially fit the bill.
Available Apartments
Let’s start with the most affordable option. On the lower level is a one bedroom listed for $1395. It comes with an already mounted TV and a private entrance. Again, a private entrance is a huge selling point during Covid-19. If you are looking to upgrade, there are two one bedrooms on the third floor available now for $1725 and $1795. The unit features a bay window, great for plants. If you are looking to up the anti, there is a one bedroom unit on the fourth floor that features a bay window AND a wood-burning fireplace, listed for $1845. The landlord provides firewood.
Common Features
All apartments have hardwood floors, in-unit washer and dryers (lower level unit is an exception but laundry room is next door,) individually controlled heating and cooling, and free storage units in the basement for suitcases, equipment, etc. You are a short walk from the National Cathedral and shopping and dining options in Glover Park, Cathedral Heights, and Georgetown. Pets are welcome.
Lastly, I will say that I am always a fan of a locally owned and managed apartment complexes. It is evident that the management cares about their residents based on the overall appearance of the building and the apartments inside.
