What makes it great: If you are interested in living in an eclectic place that is truly one of a kind, look no further. The Tricycle House is on Park Road, in historic Mt. Pleasant. The house is hard to miss due to the bright colors and tricycle sculpture. I have always wondered who lives there. I was thrilled to find out that it was a small apartment building! The decor is wacky and eccentric. The actual unit is a spacious studio with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a nice kitchen. Free laundry in the basement.
Why you should think twice: This is a place you are either going to love or hate. It is a bit of a walk to the Columbia Heights metro. No pets.
