Before sharing this week’s roundup, I wanted to touch on a few disturbing reports coming out of Columbia Heights. It seems like lately I have read countless stories about a resurgence of crime in the neighborhood. This morning I read a particularly unsettling open letter on Popville that sparked a lot of conversation. I know that this guy isn’t the only one looking to move out of the neighborhood. I am wondering if these stories are affecting renters as much as they are affecting homeowners. Has Columbia Heights really gotten that bad?
