What’s great: Ok to be completely honest I almost didn’t post this because I am so tempted to check it out. This is so affordable while being decently renovated in SUCH a great area. That bathroom looks spacious and the bedroom looks like it currently fits some serious furniture. I personally think radiators are the best heat source, so that’s also a big plus in my book. ALSO pet friendly!
Why you should think twice: THIS WILL GO FAST. Literally the only downside. Ok that living room looks a little narrow… but you’ll be fine. The metro situation may not be ideal… but there are buses. Available Nov. 4… but if you’re currently month to month that’s a positive.
$1750 / 1br – 529ft2 – Charming Furnished Dupont 1 BR available NOW (Dupont)
What’s great: This is a smaller space but pretty efficiently used. I feel like it’s really rare to see a kitchen that well done at this price point. Lots of light and great floors. Can be rented unfurnished if it’s a year long lease (min 4 months).
Why you should think twice: Woah that bedroom and door to something behind the bed that looks far from convenient to get into. I would maybe try to make this a studio because of that and have a little nook/walk in closet.
$1800 / 1br – 700ft2 – Sunny H Street Garden Apt Blocks from Union Station and Whole Foods (712 F Street NE)
What’s great: Wow talk about the help staging an apartment can give a place! I almost overlooked the fact that this is an English basement. This is an attractive unit in a great DC building. The rooms look pretty large — helps with the addition of sunlight to make it feel less cramped. The painted walls and recessed lighting are great updates.
Why you should think twice: Tile floors? And the kitchen could do with some updates. Of course, not a huge fan of bars on windows but hey, better to have them than not.
$1875 / 1br – 700ft2 – Nice One-Bedroom- (Capitol Hill)
What’s great: Excellent living space. The kitchen is updated, and as the pictures show, there’s room for a good sized table. Excellent floors too. It’s nice that you have a separate living and kitchen space too. Exact location not provided, but it reads as if it’s in a great spot on the Hill!
Why you should think twice: I would check out what your views are, if you have a preference for that sort of thing. And where your entrance is/privacy.

What’s great: Big space, tons of light, and convenient location. If you want to be in/near Adams Morgan but close to the metro, this could be a great spot for you. Huge living room and kitchen for a one bedroom. The apartment has a porch, too!
Why you should think twice: The kitchen looks a little too packed and somewhat dated, but still a huge space. Exact location not provided but that area is pretty quiet apart from rush hour so noise may not be such a huge concern.
