This week I found five DC condos with stairs. There is something about stairs. To all my friends in who live in the suburbs, this sounds crazy. BUT there is something thrilling about walking up a flight of stairs (rather than across your apartment) to get a new space. Maybe it’s because I associate stairs with single family homes, but I feel like they can make a condo feel “homey.” Counterargument, my architect father would say that stairs just eat up square footage and single floor living is best. Who’s to say?
