I immediately fell in love with this Dupont (West End) one bedroom. There are so many wonderful features: high ceilings, original southern yellow pine hardwood floors, and a beautiful bay window. I particularity like how the hardwoods extend into the kitchen. There is also a clawfoot tub in the bathroom that is original to the apartment. Best of all, this apartment is located in a one hundred year old Dupont rowhouse. There are only eight units total. I was then shocked to read that the apartment is only 400 square feet. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that the estimate is off. A 400 square foot studio can feel a tad cramped at times. I can’t imagine breaking up the apartment into a living space, kitchen, and bedroom. Until a loyal reader tours this place, the jury is out.
