What makes it great: This listing’s epic map fail is your gain. I am assuming the confusing map is why this place has been available for so long. The apartment is actually in Mt Pleasant, only a few blocks from the Columbia Heights metro. Located in a restored brownstone, this place has a ton of character. It looks there are hardwood floors throughout and there is a fireplace and bay window in the bedroom. I also love the little porch swing. Mt. Pleasant definitely has a more suburban feel but it is still close to Columbia Heights and downtown is accessible.
Why you should think twice: The second bedroom is described as a “junior bedroom” and is adjoining with the master. They suggest using it as a study/nursery. However, if the picture is true to form, the second bedroom doesn’t look that small? You will have to check the place out to see if the second room could function as a bedroom and what it’s relation is to the master bedroom. No central air.
