There are a slew of open houses this weekend but to be honest, most of them hurt my heart. I know the market is hot right now but it feels like sellers aren’t even trying. Places are flying off the shelves so why clean up? Why update your kitchen? If I have to see one more all beige apartment, I am going to lose it. But I get it. Why renovate your apartment that screams early 2000’s when you are probably going to get multiple offers anyway? My opinion is that if you are going to fight for a place, make it count.
Rant over. Want to hear something fun? If you are country fan you will appreciate this little factoid. This weekend EmmyLou Harris’s former pied-a-terre hit the market. Any guesses where she called home? Mount Pleasant! I can see her really digging the scene on 18th Street.
