What makes it great: Bad pun, great apartment. I immediately fell in love with the natural hardwood floors in this quaint Georgetown english basement. The knots in the wood give the apartment a rustic, refreshing look. I also like the paneling on the walls and built-in bookcases. It is nice to see an english basement with character, especially in the heart of Georgetown. Though the apartment is small, it has nice amenities like a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and walk-in closet. Do I see a fireplace?
Why you should think twice: English basements have drawbacks- lack of light, security, etc. Georgetown is not metro accessible.
